The supplier simply asked for 60% of the invoice to be transferred up front, which we did through a direct Telex Transfer. The supplier then did not deliver, and when contacted they keep promising that they will refund the payment end of the month. It kept going for more than 6 months with promises of refund. We reported them to Alibaba. Then they promised again to send back the money, but they failed -as expected- to send it on the time-frame they have given. Therefore, Alibaba suspended their account from the website. However I still did not get my money back and I will never will.

I would go escrow payment for the initial trade with any supplier from China.
