I was initially contacted by Email by a Sales Manger known to be Yilia Henry from Xingtai Zhuoyue Trading Co.,Ltd. She was so friendly, she even used to call "Honey dear" to make me feel comfortable! After Inquiring, I got a price CIF for A4 copy paper to UAE for 1.95 USD. Whereas the standard rated go beyond USD 2.0 USD/ream of A4 paper (5 reams of A4 paper in carton). In their website they mentioned 3'rd party inspection welcomed and I did not know which 3'rd party inspection agents to use, so after researching I found maplesourcing.com from trusted reviews. I found them very honest and helpful. The manager Mrs Yilia Henry, was always after me to make the payment, she wanted me to fix the order asap. She even sent me free courier sample of A4 copy paper to my surprise. On 21/5/2015, i decided to audit their so called factory and their office. Initially the staff and the owner Mrs LIU SHIBIN were very welcoming, they showed their office and their warehouse (so called factory). Everything was well organised to give a favorable impression that they are a genuine supplier. The next day my auditor gave a negative report NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Their quality control was horrible and they had some stock to show that they are suppliers. The auditors could not verify the warehouse was belonging to the owner, nor the owner was able to furnish a valid trade license. Auditors told me risk was high and best to it with L/C. In the meantime, manager Mrs Yilia Henry, kept insisting to go ahead with the order. Point to note this company has recently been incorporated (April 2015), so I could not find any scam report against this company. I decided to pay 30% advance TT of USD 15600 on to their company account. After making payment, their level of communication was Zero from their side. I had to initiate the conversation only then they would reply. They assured me that my order is being worked on. Week after week they gave me excuse their paper cutting machine has broken down. After some days later no communication, no emails, no skype, no phone lines are active. I waited for many days still the same condition. I had no chance to recover my money, though it may be a small amount, however I want other not to fall prey in to the dealings of this company. Try to make sure you have a good control of the situation. Just like my auditors suggested to do L/C with them or the next option is to use a strong purchasing or sourcing agent who can do the needful. Always perform preliminary check of the company before going further. Always try to use your freight forwarders rather than suppliers. These are just a few general advise I have to say.
