I work for a Greek company that produces security systems. I was searching the internet to find a lower price for this specific ic ISD17240SY-SMD. 240 SEC VOICE RECORD/PLAYBACK. I found VNSKY and sent an RFQ. Within a day a guy called Jack Chan answered, giving me details about the item I wanted, a really low price and quick delivery. He answered all of my questions and when I finally agreed to make the order for 1000 pieces he sent me a PI to pay. I was suspicious of his name at first ( because it sounds like Jackie Chan), but the more I talked to him the more my suspicions reduced. After I did pay the PI and sent him the copy he disappeared for four days and then sent me the items and a DHL tracking number. The goods indeed arrived to us within two days. The thing is, we didn't use the goods until after 4 months, because we had a problem with one of our machines. When we finally used them we realised that none of them worked!!! None of the 1000 pieces ISD17240SY-SMD. 240 SEC VOICE RECORD/PLAYBACK, which we paid $3,715 worked!!!! I tried for many days to contact them, I sent many e-mails to that Jack and also to the company via the website, but nobody responded.

I learned that I it is really difficult to trust a supplier overseas, unless you have seen him present on any exhibition throughout the world you have also attended. My advise, always check twice when someone gives you really nice prices. And of course, if someones name sounds strange trust your instincts. Editorial Remark: Beware!
