COMPLAINT: |
DHL has been scamming its customers for years. The reasons are very obvious: 1. They will assess your custom duties and taxes even BEFORE your package arrives at the destination. In this case, Canada. 2. They will charge a "processing fee" on top of the customs and duties. This fee will be charged regardless if your package has any duties or taxes. This means that your customer will pay the fee even if the package is not taxable. This is on top of the fee they charge you for the delivery. 3. If you tried to claim the fee or the duties, they will make it as difficult as possible. You have to personally go to the customs to deal with the duties that DHL claimed the customs charged. Then you would have to provide the proof to DHL in order to claim it. Unless you want whoever on the receiving end to pay some heavy fee from DHL. I would stay away from DHL, period.
